Jewelry Metals
Because we cast on site, we start with the most basic of materials for all our jewerly, the gold, silver and platinum in the form of beads or "grains". These are melted (see our casting demo) at temperatures over 1200 degrees and poured into molds to start the process of your fine jewelry.
Below are a sample and description of the metals we use in our jewelry.
Remember, the metals we use in our products come from 100% recycled sources. Be part of our source by selling your gold scrap or broken jewelry to use. Your jewelry, will be melted and cleaned and turned into new pieces of jewelry.

Mixing gold to a 75% allow makes for a more yellow metal than 14k. The best gems, clients and pieces deserve something a little more precious. Another use is for accents of highlights to a piece of white gold or Platinum/Silver.

While most white gold jewelry is 14k, we prefer 18k. The 18k provides a better polish and the more durable metal. 18K is slightly more expensive being 75% gold.

The standard of gold jewelry. Years of experimentation yielded us this alloy. First used in the 1800’s, a blend of nearly 60% pure gold with silver and copper proved to be the best mix for jewelry. Today it is what people expect, wear and enjoy.

14k White Gold has gone through many tranformations in in the past decades. This gold was often Rhodium plated because early mixes tarnish and became yellow over time. The plating can flake off leaving a unapprealing surface. The new allows created by modern metalurgists are now bright white without being plated.

Though 14k Rose Gold has been around nearly as long as 14k yellow, it has had a recent revival. The popularity of pink Diamonds helped this as did the availability of hot pink gems like the Tourmaline and Pink Sapphire. It is also stunning in pink Mother of Pearl inlay designs.

Platinum/Silver is an ingenious new alloy combining low cost Silver with high cost Platinum. Our alloy contains 3.5% Platinum, 92.5% Silver and “mystery” materials. More importantly this blend gives the most desirable properties of tarnish resistance, brightness and polish to the finished jewelry. Good for your cost, great for customer value.
