WE BUY GOLD!
We buy gold for two reasons:
1) Recycling scrap gold, helps keep harmful
chemicals out of the environment.
2) Selling your gold to US gets you a higher payout!
Beware of the slick gold buying companies advertising everywhere. All too often the promises of
quick dollars are substituted for only pennies. Don't sell to a company that won't publish it's gold
prices, especially for amounts under 1 oz. Our prices are public and are some of the highest in
the business. Take a look below.
Tips to help you determine what to send or bring in:
"Hallmarks" are stamped imprints on the jewelry that indicate Karat; they typically are stamped on
the inside of rings and on other inconspicuous surfaces, such as the clasps of chains or earing
backs. These are usually "10k", "14k", "18k", "22k". A "GF" or "1/10" hallmarks indicates
gold-filled or plated which is very low value.
You can get an approximate weight by using a small kitchen scale.
The jewelry you send to NorthWest Jewelers will be melted and the pure gold will be recovered
If a piece of jewelry has sentimental value, you should keep it!
Costume jewelry is often gold plated and has a very low value. A simple way to test whether a
piece is plated is to scratch it a few times with an emery board and put a drop or two of white
vinegar on the surface. If it turns color it's plated.
No minimum order. Call for amounts more than 10 oz.
In order to answer detailed questions about your jewelry, we need to professionally evaluate your
items to determine actual weight and karat. Once your gold arrives at our factory, your gold will be
professionally weighed, tested for precious metal content, and assigned a net value. A complete
breakdown of your settlement by piece will be included with your payment.
If for any reason you are not satisfied with the payment we send you, and would like your items
back, simply call 503-722-5190 within 7 days of the date printed on the check and you will receive
instructions for the return of your gold. We will promptly return all of your items. No questions
